The End of Fun (YA)

The End of Fun is a great finding yourself story when all else is lost in your world.  It's a story where everyone is trying to help you find yourself, but they need to find their own way first, and as it ends up you might be the lighthouse in the storm and not even know it, but you had some FUN along the way.
This book is nothing like what I thought it would be like from the synopsis, but I really liked it, from its eclectic characters to the dog, her puppies, and even her maternal instinct.  This story just showed a normal nutty family not the one the neighbors see but the one the family sees and that is awesome.  It is one window into Aaron's family and how he and everyone around him finds themselves in the storm they call FUN.

Atticus Crayle: The Accidental Spy (YA)

Atticus isn't your typical teenager by far.  Technically he shares a house with his mom (whenever she shows up) and has his chemistry lab in the attic, where he likes to make thing that go boom!  After some trouble, Atticus finds himself going on winter holiday (with a girl he likes) Gemma and her Uncle, Damon, but it will be a holiday like none Atticus has ever had before.
This was a really good book by author Jason Rybak, and the first in the series.  It has non-stop action, tons of suspense, and teenagers beating up on adults, what more could you ask for?  Oh and if your from the U.S. you can have fun with all the British sayings and spellings.  But I think you'll be so wrapped up in what Gemma and Atticus are doing you'll just love the book as much as I did.  the good part is it is only 99 cents, the bad part is it is only available as a ebook so far.

Time's Echo 1.5 (YA Audio)

This fills in a bit of what happened after Kiernan left Kate ate the worlds fair.  I don't want to say much more of fear of giving away spoilers.  But this story is told from Kiernan's point of view so if you get the audio like I did you will notice a change of narrator but do not worry Nick Podehl is so great it was like this novella was written for him. So even if you are a bookworm this a great chance to give a audio a whirl it won't disappoint.

Timebound (YA Audio)

Kate, a sixteen year old, finds out her life so far is not all it seemed to be.  But her grandmother is dying and needs Kate's help with a super secret time travel agency (for lack of a better term) CHRONOS.  However, there are not many left of Chronos and Kate's grandmother is the only one trying to put the timeline back the way it should be, but she needs Kate now, is Kate up for everything that is to come?
This is a awesome book, actually I got the audio in which Kate Rudd owned the story it was such a wonderful fit.  She is such a wonderful narrator she really had me captivated through the whole book she is Kate.

Captain Action: And the Riddle of the Glowing Man (Adult Audio)

Captain Action is a whole different type of superhero.  Resurrected from the 1960's he doesn't have any special powers other than being a master of disguise and getting the job done and that is what he is going to do as he investigates the glowing man.  His investigation takes him to Siberia were he encounters none other than Dr. Evil.
This was a great story and a even better audio which is how I had it.  Fred Wolinski made this book really exciting, he had me holing my breath several times as the suspense got so thick, and oh my when the action was non stop it was had to turn it off when I got to work, I don't know how people did it back when they had to wait a week to find out what happened to their superhero's. So which ever medium you choose this is a awesome book, give it a try it won't disappoint.

The Glass Castle (YA)

This is a interesting story, a dying king needs a heir to his throne, a woman dead set on marring the king will do ANYTHING to marry him. The king did have a child thirteen years ago by his first wife but was told they both in child birth.  Since than all thirteen year olds in that time frame have been round up and hidden away in the castle walls doing tasks for the castle inhabitants, hoping that some day they can go back to their families.  Until one day a special girl arrives and it all changes.
This is a awesome story it has you rooting for the underdog, but also sometimes you can't believe that people don't know that there aren't people around helping, spying, whatnot.  But when the group of thirteen year olds figure out the big picture, than figure out the prince might be one of them, what are they to do?
This was a really great book, the characters, and the story are well formed, the whole thing is set up for a book 2 , which will hopefully answer some left over questions.  Stay tuned hopefully I get to review that one too.

Tin Men (YA Audible)

Amalie Jahn hit it out of the park again with Tin Men.  This one has all your favorite characters, but this time it is Charlie's life that is turns upside down and Charlie that is looking for answers only he can find in the past.  But when Brook is adamant about him not using his trip, she has to finally break down and tell Charlie why he can't use his trip to get the answers he so desperately wants.
But when he decides he is going to do it any ways they find away for Brooke's past self to help him find his answers, but will that come with even more consequences?
This was another killer book, it will suck you in and won't let you go.  The action and suspense just holds you.  I had the audiobook and the narrator Simon Lee Phillips really made this book.  He is a awesome Charlie, and put a pulse into the story it is great to listen to such a awesome narrator, read such a wonderful book, it is like they were made for each other.

Read below for an excerpt from Atlantis Quest: I stopped talking because Ian had stepped in front of me and slid his hand behind my neck. I knew what he was going to do. I also knew I should turn away, but I didn’t. I let him move closer, I didn’t look away when his eyes lingered on my lips, and I didn’t tell him to stop when his lips touched mine. Instead, I moved even nearer until there was no space between us. I reached up and ran my fingers through the golden-blond hair that curled up at his shirt collar.

Into the Dim (YA)

This was a awesome book! Author Janet B Taylor sucks you in with her wonderful and personable characters, but you will find you stay because you also love the action packed, suspenseful, and  mind gripping story.  The history is interesting as well as this authors perception of time travel.
Hope knew her mom didn't die in the earthquake while giving a lecture, but she also never expected to find herself at her aunts house in Scotland either, meeting a cute boy she thinks she has seen before , but where?  And where can Hope get the answers to all these questions and more?
I really liked this book a lot, it moved fast and held my interest throughout the book, with the short chapters, and interesting history.
