Eye of Shiva (ADULT AUDIO)

On a mission in the Philippines, Nick finds some odd gold coins and brings one back for Selena to look at, and with this Nick and the team are thrown in the sights of a terrorist group and a dying spy.  The terrorist wants to start a war between Pakistan and India, and the spy wants to return the Eye of Shiva to the rightful owners.  All the while Nick and Selena are still struggling with their relationship.
This is another wonderful project book by Alex Lukeman.  This is a series I am enjoying a lot  and do not want to end! Hear that Mr. Lukeman, please keep on writing.  I love the characters, at least the good guys.  The plots are strong and the scenes are not outrageous like some action books, also the facts are checked well.
I usually get the audiobooks and can not say enough about narrator Jack de Golia he is wonderful and he does the character voices so well, that you just get lost in the book like you are there and part of the team.  it is awesome and I can't wait for the next one.

The White Dragon 01 Genesis (ADULT AUDIO)

Kasey Byrne's loves the ocean, even from a young age she couldn't resist it's pull, even if it was just to play in the sand and watch the sun come up, until the one morning a strange man gives her a necklace with a amulet.  Fast forward several years to Kasey's 18th birthday, when everything should be perfect, but goes wrong.  Something changes in Kasey, but she is not sure if it is good or bad yet.
Stefan Bolz took a very ordinary world we live in and very literally turned it on its ear, in this very exciting, action packed book.  His way with words lets you see everything in your mind so your not missing a thing.  If you had the audio like I did you also had narrator Hank Garner  using his voice to also help paint that picture for you in which he did a great job.  I can't wait for The White Dragon 02: Crucible to come out on audible as well so I can find out what happens to our ragtag little group.

Deranged (ADULT AUDIO)

Sixteen year old Kala is determined that she and her new friends will survive this new zombie epidemic brought on by mosquitos.  But it is not only the Zombies the new world must recover from because in trying to wipeout the disease carrying mosquitos the people have started a major chain reaction of killing off the food supply.  The circle of life has been destroyed, but can it be fixed? Humm, Zika maybe?
This book although sci-fi makes you think about the Zika and what really should be done and how far we should go to eradicate such diseases.  The author is very insightful and has a action packed, suspenseful great book.  Narrator, Melanie Ewbank does a great job on all of the characters, and I just love narrators like her that take the time to make the story.  They read each character as if they are that person at that time and it makes you the listener feel as though you are there in the middle and it is happening right then and it is awesome. Thank you for that experience, I hope to come across more of your works in the future.  Maybe even to see what Kala is up to next.

Legacy Fleet Alt. Chronicles

Fourteen stories that span the universe, a universe in conflict, and will need the courage of many to help to find peace, if possible, among those that will be left  when it is all over.
These stories range from first contact with the Swarm, to cadets at the training academy, to a very old conspiracy theory, coming to head at a very inopportune moment.  But these are just a few points in a start studded chart of short stories that will have you asking for more.

Dust (YA AUDIO)

It is depression times and the farmers are in the middle of a drought.  Young Robert's brother has disappears and months latter it is like Robert is the only one that remembers his brother even existed.  A odd man shows up in town promising he can make it rain if the towns people help him build a rainmill.  Robert's father signs right up but Roberts uncle refuses not trusting the man.  Things get even stranger from there, but somehow Robert is not affected and must help save his brother, family, friend, and possibly the whole town.
This book started right off with high octane suspense and never stopped.  The characters are all very well put together and very interesting.  I had the audio version which the author narrated himself and did a awesome job.  The different voices for the different characters were really good and he really made the story come alive for me through the eyes of young Robert, it was amazing.  I hope there are more books like this because I really enjoyed this audio and will definitely look for from this author.

Legendarium (ADULT AUDIO)

Every so often certain people are chosen to protect the Legendarium from the forces that threaten to send the Earth back into darkness.  This generation it is Bombo Dawson, a new author, and Alistair Foley, a reviewer who pretty much hates everything he reads especially Bombo Dawson's  works, that are chosen to protect the Legendarium.  Their adventures take them through the looking glass all the way to Moby Dick, the only book they seem to agree on liking.
If you like history and literature you will love this  book as it is chalked full of both, although, I have to say I am not much of a fan of both, and I actually loved the book, I guess I loved how the authors brought it to life.  I mean heck you got to love it when Hemmingway wanted to punch Alistair in the nose for messing up his story.  I think this book is quite likely the most overlooked book of our time, and I enjoyed every minute of it.  I would also like to thank Robert Rossmann who was the awesome narrator of the audiobook version which I had and was so good I can not speak highly enough of it.  He did such a great job on all of the characters voices and bringing the story (or should I say stories) to life it was great, I really hope Bombo and Alistair come back again.  If the do I'll buy the doughnuts.

The is the second book in the series the first Secret Coders is also a awesome book for young coders wishing to get in on the ground floor.  These books start with three unlikely kids that are thrown together by chance, but each brings something to this team that will help with the journey of learning code and they do it the fun way.  These books are made for everyone even the most reluctant of readers will find these books fun and exciting.  The chapters are short and leave you hanging and wanting to know what happens and to know more so it will keep everyone reading, who knows mom and dad even you or grandmother and granddad might pick up a little code too if you don't watch out.

The Hill (YA)

Jared, a spoiled rich kid, plane crashes in the wilderness.  When he insists on hiking up a hill to try and get a cell signal, that Kyle, a Cree, has told him his grandmother has forbidden him to go near.  Jared goes anyways believing it is just Cree superstition, and Kyle reluctantly follows.  Soon both boys find themselves in a forest that just isn't right and now they are being hunted.
This is a out of this world book for anyone who enjoys lore and legends especially Native American lore.  This is my first book by Karen Bass but I loved it and will be looking for more.  This book is full of action, suspense, and has you on the edge of your seat  the whole time holding your breath.  I really enjoyed this book and wish Jared and Kyle would take me with them to see Crazy Horse as it is on my wish list also if they get to go.

Flashpoint (ADULT)

Taylor goes back and tries to save her homeworld from total destruction doing the one thing she never  wanted to do again, but she might be the only one that can stop it.  But there are also other political tug a wars going on across the galaxy that might do even more damage if not handled right and by the proper people.  Can the son of a dead politician help prevent another huge mistake from happening?
This book sends you to many places and you meet a lot of people, and if you can keep them all straight in this awesome, action packed, galaxy of a book you will love it.  The book moves fast and the characters a re well rounded and have interesting backstories that set them up nicely.  The story was great and I can't wait for the Drive Maker book 2 of the trilogy to come out, and I really hope these come out on audio.

This is me (ADULT)

Rogan is a assist AI, given to Chloe as a graduation gift for companionship and protection in the city as she looks for a new job and herself, all while trying to pay the bills.  But the day her very obedient, funny, dependably, wonderful, loving, AI decides he doesn't want to be that way anymore and disobeys Chloe, makes her start to think of him in a very different light.  Is this what her friends have been trying to tell her or is there something more going on?
Even though this was suppose to be a romance story I found it to be a much more thought provoking story on AI and how they could possible evolve on their own depending on love and developing emotions and what that would mean for the human race.  This was a very well thought out book with well rounded characters that where full and complete.  I am not much of a romance fan but loved the sci-fi part and still found this book mesmerized me and kept me wondering what will happen to Rogan and what will Chloe do.  I think you will find this book interesting no matter which genre you favor.

Reflections: A Whitney Steel Novel (ADULT AUDIO)

Reporter Whitney Steel is looking for the big story and when she catches a lead on the first cloned human, a small girl named Angel, it is almost the death of her.  In steps undercover FBI Agent Blake (cutey guy)to save the day, well I think it turn into a week, thereabouts.  But he also has his own job and agenda to take care of, besides keeping a nosey reporter in one piece, especially one he has fallen in love with.
This is a great book with non-stop action and some well placed twists and turns to keep you guessing.  The characters are well rounded and likeable, well most of them.  The story flows at a great pace.  I had the audio version and found that narrator Rebecca Hansen did a great job on the different characters voices, especially as she settled into them.  Which ever format you choose I hope you will love Whitney and Blake as much as I do as I hear the are coming back for more books so look for the next book called Retribution out now, and the audio coming soon.

This book is true Barry Lyga in the fact that there are so many twists, turns and traps that you won't see what is coming a mile away.  This book is awesome and literally takes you into another world like you have never seen before.
