How crazy is it to be picked as a teenager to track down other teens that have done wrong and pick a punishment of some kind that has to so with their fear to pay retribution for that wrong. This is what Mara is facing but she doesn't know why she will be the next messenger of fear yet. This is a world of characters not yet explained in full but punishments can be painful, scary, but playful in a demented way. Reliving others experiences can seem real to you the reader but bounce around in time so it is not all put in one place until the end, when all the pieces of the puzzle come together. This book had a lot of mystery to it even though you could figure some of it out before the end, it was still a very fun , creepy book to read.
