He brings Alaska and the story alive for the reader and it feels like you must make this decision as well. Chuck and his young family plus all of of the people at the resort must decide if they want to make the 300 mile trip to Canada or stay where they are and take their chances against the Russians, what will they do? If you like audios this series narrated by Chris Abernathy is a great one when you finish one you will want the next one right away so make sure you have the credits or the budget.
