Resurrection: A Post-Apocalyptic Zombie Thriller: Arize, Book 1 (ADULT AUDIO)

A long dormant virus is released from the colds of Alaska and travels out as those in the research party go home and travel on breaks.  One of the researchers suffers a fever than goes on a killing spree, as another felt like she had the flu for a couple of days but recovers.  Within days the virus is everywhere and many many people are dying and infecting others, chaos is rampant and the military is trying to help along with a mega church minister who is prospering from it.

This is a good book if not a bit close to home at the moment.  The narrator Kevin Clay does a wonderful job making you feel as though you are there and going through all of this with Dr. Perriman and her family.  This is a refreshing look at zombies.

A Universe of Wishes: A We Need Diverse Books Anthology (YA)

This is the fourth anthology from We Need Diverse Books, and it doesn't disappoint.  Bringing together fifteen awesome authors from many backgrounds and ethnicity to bring this book to you.  Anthologies are awesome because while you may know and love some of the authors listed there are usually a few you have not heard of before that can take you on a journey to places you have not been before and than you have another series to read.  This one has do that for me and I hope it does that for  you as well.

When You Had Power (Nothing is Promised 1) (YA)

Lucia Ramirez has had her fair share of troubles but she hopes this new duty station will be different.  But from day one things are off her house mates tell her of unscheduled power outages, which should not happen, and meeting some of her new colleagues are very strange.  But the real trouble starts when she notices some things under the water that are very curious and shouldn't be there.  She doesn't know what to do and and how her house mates will take all of this trouble while she is still on probation there.

This is a awesome new book set in a up and coming genre of hope punk.  It stars a very diverse cast of characters and has action and suspense galore.  This is the kind of book you would hope your teens and young adults will read.  Susan K Quinn has a way of drawing you in and making you read well past your bedtime than and leaving you waiting for more, thank goodness the next one will be out soon, I really can't wait.

A Campy Christmas: A Frannie Shoemaker Campground Adventure (ADULT AUDIO)

As the holidays approach the Shoemakers and Ferraros have decided since none of the kids are coming home to take the campers south to visit family in Texas.  But when a snow storm stops them in their tracks they must make due until  the camp site can be dug out.  Their first visitor is a scrawny pup who they bring in from the cold.  But on a trip around the bathhouse to find other useful items they discover a frozen man, and bring him into their warm camper and help him warm up. meanwhile salvaging their own Christmas.

This is a very cute novella that I loved a lot it is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. It ties up how Christmas should be, and it rarely is the picture perfect one but it is the one that you have so make it work and remember what Christmas really is.

Trip the Runner (ADULT AUDIO)

Trip won a medal at the Olympics way back for running but he still thinks it will carry him through life, you know that five minutes of fame.  Lately he has become unbearable to his parents and others.  But when he goes on a date with the nicest, most wonderful girl in town and does nothing but insult and belittle her in front of the towns people at a local bar it is decided that Trip needs to do things on his own now and his parents packed him a suitcase and tough loved him right out of the house. Trip finds himself begging a local farmer for a place to stay and a job.  Hopefully, the work on the farm will change Trip's attitude for the better.

This was a great book and a awesome audio-book narrated by Harriett Hunt.  It is a wonderful, quick, funny at times read.  Trip is just that kind of guy and to see if his life can change is a wonderful but sad and happy at times look at this spoiled rich kid life.  But I think there is something hidden in there all of us could learn as well.  Be kind because kindness has not been cancelled.

Big Easy (ADULT AUDIO)

When someone starts killing the street people of New Orleans detective Tony Nicosia, Fat Tony who isn't very fat anymore, and PI Wyatt Thomas interest get raised and they will do what it takes to find the person or person's behind the killings.  Wyatt is one of the few private Investigators that believe and will investigate the paranormal that lives and grows in the big easy, and he knows everyone of any importance.

This book captures the life of the big easy so well, New Orleanians still believe in the voodoo and the paranormal, good food, and their love for this city.  I loved the book it made me homesick for a shrimp Po Boy, and even though there are a few rough spots at the beginning they get smoothed out pretty fast.  Narrator Joe Hempel paints a vocal picture of everything so it is like we are there watching, it is really good.  Audio or print I don't thing you can go wrong with this book.

Never After: The Thirteenth Fairy (The Chronicles of Never After Book 1) (MG)

Filomena has been watched her whole life, she has never walked home from school, never gone out to play in the neighborhood.  Her parent have a alarm system on the house and six deadbolts on the front door.  Filomena always thought this was normal until she got to go to others birthday parties and saw only one lock and security systems that were never set.  But she loves her author parents and just rolls with it,  But when her favorite books series has a new book coming out and no one can take her she convinces her parent to let her go by herself.  When she arrives at her favorite book store she finds the book she has been waiting for has not been published and no one know anything more about it.  As Filomena walks home her life changes drastically when she meets Jack.  And  that is all I can say without giving all the good parts away.

This book  was so wonderful it had me hooked from the start and I really could not put it down until I was finished, now I am eagerly awaiting the next book.  It has so much action and not everything is always what it seems.  If  you like fairy tales this does reference some, and maybe you will find out what really happened in those tales as well as what happens with Filomena to change her life and now she has friends, real friends, that is something she has never had.

The Violinist Of Auschwitz (ADULT)

This is Anna's number 50381, story.  This is how one woman worked through the most devastating times our world has seen. But when Anna is asked to be director of the camps orchestra, she at first hates the idea of playing music while others go off to die, but she soon sees she can help those same people with more food and care by taking this prestigious offer. So Anna plays for the people and dignitaries that visit the camp.

This is a true story of one woman's chance to help and save people and herself from the Nazi atrocities. This is a very good book but very hard in some place but you will see Anna's strength grow throughout.  If  you know anything about Auschwitz that you know how hard it is to portray all of this in words but Anna's light is the one you need to follow though the book it will bring you through.

The Pandemonium of Pets: A Love & Pets Christmas Romance (The Love & Pets Romantic Comedy Series Book 7) (ADULT)

Travis and Amelia are finally going to get married.  They have their cottage at the ranch and everyone else is arriving, including Amelia's mother who is still very bitter about her divorce.  Since most of the people they invited are clients of theirs they also invited their pets along on this adventure, of course Severus 2 was the first to escape, and being a pretty large snake well that did not help matters at all.

Even though this is a romance you will  find yourself laughing at many of the situations that arise on account of who they invited or their pets and Travis always seems to be in the middle of it all despite his promise he would not work this weekend.  I am not much of a romance fan but I love this series by Ms. Henley it tells you like it is on the pet side, and because of that, it usually becomes funny, after all you should never work with kids and animals.

Murder She Wrote In Season (ADULT)

While reconstructing her beloved home that burnt, Jessica and crew find a special box of secrets about the man who found their little town of Cabot Cove, along with two skeletons.  Of course that throws pals, Mort the sheriff, Seth the doctor and of course Jessica the murder mystery writer on the case but will they get it all wrapped (see what I did there) before Christmas?

Although it is a early Christmas read for me, this will be a great book to get your in the holiday spirit.  I love the Murder She Wrote series it is almost the same as the TV show.  They even bring in some of the old characters toward the end. So maybe we will see them in future books.  This is the fifty second book in the series and it does say 52 of 53 on amazon, does that mean our beloved series is going to end?  I hope not as this book shows they have not lost their mojo yet.  You can guess and guess but the who did it is hidden very well as always. I hope you all like this book as much as I did, it has the hope and kindness we all can use right now in our own turbulent world.

Reprogram Your Mind (ADULT AUDIO)

This is a very interesting book on how you can teach your mind to think in a more positive way.  It can help you see the positive in each situation, and train your brain to do this automatically the more you practice.  This is a great book for improving your life and maybe even quit taking everything so personally.  The audio-book was good and the narrator, K.C. Wayman,  did a excellent job  portraying these methods on a even more positive note.  I hope you enjoy this book and good luck on your self help journey.

Dogs Get Ten Lives: One Dog's Journey of Self Discovery (ADULT AUDIO)

This book follows one dog through ten lives, I won't lie some are sad but others are awesome.  It is all from the perspective of the dog and how it perceives everything around it, sight , smells, and actions.  It is how it manages to make the best of all of it.  This is really hard to describe but if you are a animal lover you will get this, maybe this is how we have come to think of some animals as having old souls.

I listened to this book not long after a dear friend doggie crossed the rainbow bridge or was reborn, Bert had a very old soul and his beginning wasn't great but a nice man found him, took him home and gave him the best a dog could have with tons of love.  So parts were hard to listen too but other parts of this book were very comforting to hear.  The story defiantly does one thing and that will make you love your pups that much more.  Narrator Jack de Golia does a awesome job capturing this pups feelings in each story it is like he made a connection with this pupster, and makes it just that much better to listen too.

The Lair of Anubus (ADULT AUDIO)

Nick and the crew are back for more adventures, but will this be the end of the Project?  This is twice now that Nick and Selena's kids have been put in danger, and the crew is getting older and feeling the effects of all the times they have been shot and such.  But when Selena is asked again to translate a papyrus for a museum  it throws them back into there adrenaline filled life that fuels them while looking for the tomb of Alexander the Great and Cleopatra.

This is another wonderful book by Alex Lukeman, full of action, suspense and danger galore.  I love these books and this series, the characters have become my book family, it is escapism at its best for me.  The  wonderful narrator Jack de Golia has transported me to there missions and this audio is no exception.  I love that I can lose myself in his voices for the characters and it's like I am right there with them on the mission fighting, hurting, and laughing with them.  This is a great book and a awesome audio, I hope he keeps on writing them because the day it comes to a end will be a sad day indeed.

Liberty (YA AUDIO)

August and her friend pick up where Icehaven left off, they finally made it to Liberty and now must go back out to find supplies to sustain life there until they can do everything on their own.  But August is suspicious and the new comers with some of their special abilities scare the people there not to mention August's dad is the reason for the now frozen land that they now all live in, so tensions are a bit high. But when August finds out more about her dad's failed climate change plan, she must find the person that can see into the future so hopefully she can help somehow.

This book is exciting and full of action.  The characters are great and could be the kids next door if put in this situation.  They still have young adult problems as well as many adult ones that I am sure they were not ready for but have dealt with it all the same.  This is the series that once you pick it up will have you reading or listening well past your bedtime.  Narrator Erin Robertson is a excellent August and does all the other characters swimmingly as well.  This is a series not to be missed.

Ignotus (ADULT AUDIO)

Marine Lieutenant Maker is on another mission that will test him  and his crew if they want to come back home.  He must take his sworn enemy a Vacra into deep space back toward his home. What they find and fight together with the Vacra is way more than anyone ever expected and could spell the end of humanity if they can not defeat it.

This is a very exciting book, brimming with action and suspense it will take you on a roller coaster ride through space.  LT Maker is a very colorful guy and I love his leadership style, he is a great Marine.  I will be honest I can in on this book and it is book 3 of the series so I was a bit behind and I am not sure of the whole story but the author gives you a very condensed version so it really isn't a big deal.  Narrator Mikael Naramore is awesome with all the characters and you will feel as if you are right there on the ship and part of the crew with them.  I really like this book and I hope you all will too.

Pawsitively Poisonous (ADULT AUDIO)

Amber Blackwood longtime resident of Edgehill, and owner and operator of The Quirky Whisker that sells a bit of a lot of things but it is her toys that has people perplexed, they move and do other things all seemingly without a battery.  But when her friend dies with one of Amber's home remedies in her hand that is when things really heat up.

This is the first of the series of cats and witches that will worm its way into your heart, as it did mine.  This is a very cute story and wonderful mystery that has lots of suspense and action despite many thinking Edgehill is a sleepy little cat nap town.  The narrator does a wonderful job transporting you right into Edgehill and the story I had a good time walking through The Quirky Whisker and looking at all of those wonderful toys that I wish were real.  I really love this book and this series I hope the author keeps writing more.

Phantom of the Opera (ADULT GRAPHIC NOVEL)

If you know the story of the opera house and even if you don't than this is a really good graphic novel for you as well.  The story is pretty close to the original and the illustrations are out of this world.  This really is a awesome graphic novel, give it a chance.

The Mouse Watch (MG)

Throughout the world there are mice living in the shadows just watching and waiting to help people in trouble, these are the mice of The Mouse Watch.  Little Bernie has dreamed forever it seems to be a agent of the watch along side her hero Gadget.  You all remember Gadget don't you?  You know from Chip and Dales rescue rangers.  Yep one and the same, and now Bernie and fellow recruit Jarvis (a rat) have a chance at making their dream come true, if they can learn to work as a team despite their differences.
This book was so good, and bringing in the value of teamwork made it even better. It shows you might be able to feel differently if you know the whole story, and that it takes all different skills in a team to make it work best.  This book brings in the wonderful aspect of diversity even if it is portrayed in the rodent world.  I loved this book and think anyone else regardless of age will too.

Dracula Motherf ker (ADULT GRAPHIC NOVEL)

A older star lets Dracula out of the coffin and now he is on the loose.  But there is one crime scene photographer that has figured out what he has taken pictures of.

I won't say much more I don't want to give anything away, but I will say this is a really good story, with awesome illustration.  If you are a lover of graphic novels I think you will like this.

Lightbringer (The Empirium Trilogy Book 3) (YA)

Two queens separated by a thousand years but connected by Corien who will use one to get back to the other he loves.  One queen wants to save her world the other destroy it.  When the prophets start talking everything just might change and turn this war, but which way?

I feel I missed a lot having missed the second book, but I liked the first book Furyborn so much I took a chance I could catch up.  That was hard and made it difficult to stay focused on this the third book.  That is on me, so I will not make that the books fault.  This was a very exciting and action packed book with more twists and turns than a spaghetti noodle.  It is well written with great characters, the book alternates between the two queens and time periods.  It is a good series and I hope to get book two someday than reread this book and give it everything it deserves.

Dragonwatch The Champions of the Titan Games (MG)

Seth and Kendra are doing all they can to get the favor of the giant queen to help them with the dragons, that are sure to attack the Titan Valley as it is the most demeaning place for dragons to live.  The giants treat the dragons as slaves there, even Kendra and Seth don't much care for that treatment.  But can they convince the giant queen to help them or even any giants, this is the mission they have ever been on, but can they finish it.

I love these books they are so filled with action and suspense that I just can not put the books down.  I really love the series all the way back to the Fablehaven part. I really hope Brandon Mull keeps writing about this world because I really need to know how everyone comes out of this.

Dear Child (ADULT)

Jasmin is abducted and her abductor makes her transform down to the scar on her forehead into Lena, a girl she doesn't know, but obviously is special to the man and his two children, to whom she is now to be the mother of.  They all live in a windowless cabin out in the woods, and the man controls everything including bathroom times.  But Jasmin is not Lena and wants out, but she isn't sure how since the man locks everything and he has the only keys.
This book is so thrilling I read it in two sittings, Romy Hausmann definitely has a hit on her hands.  This book is action packed and very suspenseful, and it will certainly tug at many emotions as you move through the book.  It has a web of darkness, lies, captivation, and unpredictability.  The story and characters all come together in a way you will never see until the end.  This is one of those books that will have you reading past your bedtime and than up the rest of the night with every light on.

Tristan Strong Destroys the World (MG)

Tristan and his friends are back, along with some new ones.  This time trying to save both his world and theirs from collapsing, but is this a race Tristan can win.
This the second book in the Tristan Strong series is just as good if not better than the first, if that is possible.  The fast paced, non stop action and suspense, will leave you on overload and up way past your bed time.  These books bring back the old songs of the south stories along with many tall tales for a new generation to explore and enjoy.   This book will even keep the attention of most reluctant readers.  This is a series not to be missed.

Channel Kindness: Stories of Kindness and Community (ADULT)

This is a book about people who saw a need in their community and through kindness and determination filled it.  Sometimes against bullies other times breaking through the stigma of mental health, or LGBTQ+.  These people had the strength when no one else did and they made the change they wanted to see.  As you read or  listen to their stories you will see how people can be broken so easy and how either they or others helped put those pieces back together before it was too late.

I almost passed this audio book by I though it was just another popular rich celebrity writing a book on something they thought would sell since the word kindness seems to be in vogue right now. I could NOT have been more wrong and even though I am not a music person (more of a audio book person) Lady GAGA has my total appreciation for everything she does to help these people to voice their strengths and help in ways only they will probably ever know.  I hope this book gets spread far and wide and everyone, no matter who, has the chance to read it, this book deserves to be set free.

Be kind because kindness has not been cancelled, sometimes you might have to look hard for it, other times it might fall into your lap, but kindness is always there.

But neither will see what is to come, will Kyle lose Marley forever?
This is a great book with twists and turns that will keep you on the roller coaster ride till the end of the book just to see what happens next. You will be up way past your bedtime reading this book, and I hope you all will like it as much as I do.

Skyhunter (YA)

After fleeing her home and the federation, Talin works her way into the most elite branch of fighters in her new home, Mara, the Strikers.  She lost her voice fleeing her home from some chemical burns but that doesn't hold her back since the Strikers rely on silence or they will bring on the awful ghosts of the federation down upon themselves and have to fight them without the upper hand.  After Talin loses her shield, the only partner she has ever had, and her champion for being a Striker the Firstblade brings in a odd prisoner to put to death.  When Talin saves him, she is told he is her new shield and responsibility, however in the thick of battle they become bonded in a way no one saw coming.
Marie Lu has another fast paced, suspense filled, hit on her hand and trust me when I say the first book will leave you clamoring for more.  The characters are awesome and so is how they come together in the story.  You will stay up way past your bed time just to see what happens next it is that exciting.  Yes, I too want Ms. Lu to hurry so I can read more about these friends.

Pawsitively Cursed (ADULT AUDIO)

Amber Blackwell is getting ready for the big fashion show like everyone else in their small town.  When her aunt Gretchen shows up claiming she just needs to be near family, but the cat comes out of the bag when Amber's sister Willow shows up out of the blue as well.  It seems the Penhallows are coming and they are coming for Amber.

This is such a quaint and fun mystery book with a bit of witchcraft thrown in.  I think it was funny that all these clans where under this one city at a time but it seems none of the town members had a clue what was going on until Amber tells the sheriff, pure proof of small towness.  I really liked this (audio)book and hope to someday get to review the rest, yes they are that much fun.  Narrator Victoria Villarreal made this book even more exciting through her voice.  She brought to life all the characters and was able to make me feel all range of emotions as I progressed though the audio.  This is a great book no matter which format you choose.

The Conundrum of Collies (The Love & Pets Romantic Comedy Series Book 6) (ADULT)

Stevie and Logan made a deal that the would get married when they were very little and it was sealed with a kiss so you know it has to happen, kisses are bigger than pinky promises after all.  When Stevie's collie Bean keeps escaping to others yards in the neighborhood especially the one with chickens, Bean is a herding dog after all, he needs to herd.  So to try and tire him out and to check off her before I turn thirty list she joins a disc club, Bean takes to it fast and it looks like its working as well as meeting new interesting people, and maybe date some after all she is going to be thirty in a few weeks. That is when things get very interesting.

This book is as wonderful and fun as her other books.  I am not much into romance but I do love animals so I can not miss reading any of the Love and Pets series.  They can be read separately, they mention other characters from other books but not enough that they can not be read as a stand alone.  I will warn you once you read one you will want to read the others.

White Fox (YA)

When Thais and Manon's mom disappeared it turned their lives upside down sent away from there home by their father to live with a Aunt.  But now they have returned as young women for a show honoring their mother only to be left a clue that maybe she isn't dead after all, and maybe just maybe if they follow the clues in their mom's last manuscript they will be reunited with her.
This is a psychological thriller that will have you up way past your bedtime to see where they go next and who among the cast of characters may have helped their mom or can help them decipher the clues.  There is plenty of action and a world of suspense to keep you captivated.  This is a great book and one to go on the TBR pile for sure.

Maya and the Rising Dark (MG)

Maya is a remarkable twelve year old girl with even more remarkable friends who will stand by her even in the dark.  Into the dark is where they must go to find and rescue Maya's dad, the keeper of the veil.  Maya finds out the hard way that her dads business is not quite what it seems, and her neighborhood as well, almost like her dads stories set in her favorite comic book world.  Her dad is a god and is tasked with keeping the veil between our world and the dark intact so the darklings don't cross into our world.
I left the summary of the book short on purpose I didn't want to have any spoilers.  But this is a wonderful book where science and comic book stories rule, and tweens learn their own strengths.  This is a well thought out books with awesome characters that anyone can relate to one or more of, and can hold the attention of even a reluctant readers.

Limitless: Terran Sea Chronicles, Book 2 (YA AUDIO)

Sela and Jack live in a dystopian world where they have both been experimented on.  Jack's new abilities are flight while Sela's are under the water.   Both are fighting to free themselves and the other kids from the grips of Nerissa, but as Sela makes her way back home she discovers things are not how she left them including her father who might not be the man she thought he was.

This is a wonderful book alternating views from Sela and Jack.  This book is full of action and has twists and turns that will keep you on your toes.  The audio is narrated by Aimee Smith and Nicholas Cain, who are both quite talented and play their parts so well, if you get the audio form of the book you won't be disappointed, it is really good.  The first book was awesome and this one is just as good if not better I hope there are more to come.

The Pretenders (The Similars) (YA)

Emma is still coming to terms with everything that happened her junior year.  So when everyone arrives back at school for their senior year except Levi, Emma is lost.  Did Levi really not want to see her anymore or was Gravelle (the similars guardian) doing more experiments and mind control on him, and Emma now knows she is also a similar, as well as her best friend ever, Ollie now thinking of them more than friends, just might be more than she can take.  But there are more surprises lurking in this book most you won't even see coming.

This is a action packed, suspense filled awesome conclusion to this series.  I will miss it and more would have been nice but I am OK with how it ended.  This is a roller coaster of a ride with tons of sharp twits and turns that will toss you around but the end of the ride is the wildest, so hang on for dear life.

The Mad Mick: The Mad Mick Series, Book 1 (ADULT AUDIO)

Connor Maguire has worked in his mountainous compound in Virginia for that last part of his life making bombs in secret for the government. But now is a very different time as America has been thrust into darkness and the only people you can trust is your family.  For Connor that is his daughter Barb who he almost lost when she was little to a drunk driver.  Connor has trained Barb to take care of herself, but know that she has been kidnapped along with a family friend can she do it on her own or are her hands tied because of the other hostages.  Will it matter with another family friend following her and leaving directions and clues for Conner, the very Mad Mick at this point, who is certainly following them as well.

This book is exciting and filled with action and tons, really tons of suspense.  I want to say that Barb is now my hero and I would love to be like her.  I had the audio narrated by the great Kevin Pierce, who always makes these books so awesome for me, he puts me there right with the characters trying to help the each of them.  This is another wonderful post apocalyptic series from Franklin Horton.  If you liked his others series give this a try, if you haven't read any of his other series than what are you waiting for?

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars (ADULT)

During a scouting mission on a uncolonized planet, Kira finds a ancient place and is exposed to a odd dust that can move by itself.  Things progress fast and furious from there, until war erupts from all sides and from beyond the stars.  How can Kira make this right?
This is a action packed book full of wonderful characters that come together under a very unusual circumstances, one of which normally would not happen.  Kira is a strong main character that finds a way to keep her friends safe.  This is a wonderful book and a great come back for Paolini.

Curtains for Romeo: Coastal Playhouse Mysteries Book One (ADULT AUDIO)

California just wasn't working for Tig, so when she is offered a teaching position in her hometown in the outer banks, she decides to pack up her teenage daughter and move into the house her mother left her upon her death.  What she doesn't expect moving there is that the ghost of her mother still resides in the house and that the teacher positions she got will lead to murder and a old frenemy that now works for the town newspaper blaming it of her. Tig isn't a detective but she used to play a teenage  one on TV will that be enough to exonerate her?

This is a great book (I had the audio narrated by the awesome Kate Rudd which is really good) and I could not put it down.  There are redirects and red herons to keep you from guessing who done it before it is revealed.  It is also a quaint and cozy book, but don't get me wrong Attila brings a certain amount of humor to this book as well, I loved the part about a kitty getting stand your ground rights against a dog in the kitties yard.  This is a wonderful book and I hope you will think so too whether you get the book or audio you can't go wrong.

The Lost Wonderland Diaries (MG)

Celia knows math and logic, Tyrus knows books and imagination, and when the two accidentally find themselves in a different and strange land, they are tasked with finding a way home.  Soon they figure out they are in Wonderland but not the one Tyrus knows or Celia's great great grandfather wrote about in his story about Alice and her adventures here.  But as they work their way through wonderland they make a few friends to help them along the way.
This is a wonderful book on friendship, no matter their differences and how they can do  things better together than separate. Celia is dyslexic (a neurodiversity  that is close to my heart, as I am dyslexic too but no one knew much about it or any of Celia's tips when I was a kid) and Tyrus just likes books and going to those places in his books as a get away, I do this a lot now.  They are both no stranger to being teased and they both are new to the area and school.  So I fell in love with these characters right away, they are perfect for this story.  Although I have never read Alice's adventures I am interested in it now.  The non-stop action and building of suspense are just right and at the right moments.  This is a book for everyone to enjoy as there is something in it for everyone.

Switched On: The Borrowed World Series, Book 6 (ADULT AUDIO)

It has been nine months since the United States collapsed due to major country wide infrastructure failure.  One that our country and economy may never bounce back from.  But there are people trying to start to get some of those systems back up and running, but at what cost?

This is another awesome book in the Borrowed World series, and it won't let you down.  This book is full of action and issues you hope never will strike our boarders.  This book will hold you captive and not let you go until you are done.  If you are lucky to have the audio version narrated by the great voice of Kevin Pierce than you will feel transported into the story and are there to help and fight alongside Jim, his friends, and neighbors.

Scritch Scratch (MG)

Claire is a scientist through and through but that might have to change after helping her Dad one night on his ghost tour of Chicago.  Now she will need to science out a ghost boy that follows her home.
I am sorry I could not give you more of a synopsis but I didn't want to spoil anything for you.  This is a awesome historical fiction of Chicago and some of the coolest stories anybody interested in ghosts could ever ask for, but in the mean time there is also the side story of Claire wanting her best friend back, but she helps her brother as he helps her when he finds out how bad things are for Claire.  This book is full of action, suspense, and friendship.  The characters are well portrayed and story line is so very well thought out and to add the historical side of the story too, just makes this book all the more special.  I can't wait to see what Claire, her family, and her friends get into next.

Catkwondo (PICTURE BOOK)

Kitten wants to break a board, and while she is disappointed it won't happen the first day of class she puts in the work, moves through the belts and finally comes the day for her to try and break the board.
This was a very cute book on patience, perseverance, and coming together as a team.  I believe most children will enjoy this book and even though they might learn something.  The illustrations are so cute this will soon become a fast favorite.
