Murder in Helvetica Bold (ADULT AUDIO)

Ruth Townsend moves back to her hometown in hopes of reviving the towns newspaper, and starting a new chapter in her life.  But what she really got was a murder, that she feels compelled to solve.
I really enjoyed this book on a cool rainy day it just seemed appropriate.  There is plenty of action and suspense with a slight sprinkling of humor.  This book was a lot of fun to listen too and narrator Kate Rudd is just a awesome narrator, and brings books to life and pops you right there in the middle so you can help Ruth and her friends try and solve the case.  This book/audio is a wonderful read/listen on a cool rainy day with some tea or maybe as you sit on a warm beach with a nice drink.

Blood of Tyrants: The Free State of Dodge Saga Book 1 (ADULT AUDIO)

The United States is in trouble, the Senate has been attacked, someone is dead set on taking down the power grid and the government has all but collapsed the economy, and now believe it or not the National guard wants a form of Marshall law.  But there is one place in the United States that will not sit still and have their rights taken away, Dodge.  Cliff and Redstone, long time friends, will do what it takes to protect their little Alabama town.
This isn't Javan Bonds normal Zombie book so don't get it confused. but it still a awesome read and you won't be disappointed. His plot and characters are well developed and the book still has Bond's humor.  There is plenty of action and suspense to keep you up late reading or in my case listening to the audio, narrated by SW Salzman.  Salzman has a way of paining the picture in your head of the story so well you can loose yourself in the book, as if you are part of the story, helping out.  Both author and narrator make a great duo and I can't wait for book 2.

The Mouse Watch (MG)

Throughout the world there are mice living in the shadows just watching and waiting to help people in trouble, these are the mice of The Mouse Watch.  Little Bernie has dreamed forever it seems to be a agent of the watch along side her hero Gadget.  You all remember Gadget don't you?  You know from Chip and Dales rescue rangers.  Yep one and the same, and now Bernie and fellow recruit Jarvis (a rat) have a chance at making their dream come true, if they can learn to work as a team despite their differences.
This book was so good, and bringing in the value of teamwork made it even better. It shows you might be able to feel differently if you know the whole story, and that it takes all different skills in a team to make it work best.  This book brings in the wonderful aspect of diversity even if it is portrayed in the rodent world.  I loved this book and think anyone else regardless of age will too.

The Enigma Game (YA)

When 15 year old Louisa took a job caring for a elderly woman she had no idea what a adventure it would be.  Louisa having lost both her parents to bombing wants desperately to do something, anything to help fight back against Germany but she is not sure how to do this as a a 15 year old.  When Louisa and her charge reach the small village of Windyedge in Scotland, Louisa meets some friends (if you have read other books by Ms. Wein, but not necessary) that will help her on her way.
Like I said if you have read Code Name Verity, and some of the other books, you will be reunited with some friend, if not don't worry you can read them after this book.  You will find all Ms. Wein's books are wonderful.  I really with I could have learned history this way.  While the book is fiction some of the facts are based in history.  I love all of her books where the main character is female, but the action and suspense is strong enough to hold anyone's interest.I really loved this book and hope you will too.

Titanborn (ADULT AUDIO)

Malcolm Graves is a type of futuristic bounty hunter and he works alone, always alone, until now, he has been assigned a Spockish cyborg augmented partner, Zahaff.  They need to go and find who was responsible for the terrorist attacks between Earth and Titan.  But will they like what they find?
This was a wonderful well put together book.  It is full of action and suspense the characters are so good you be able to paint interesting pictures of each in your mind.  If you are lucky enough to have listened to this book performed by the awesome R.C. Bray then you can just sit back and loose yourself in the worlds that Graves lives in.  Either format, I hope you will love this series as much as I am.

The Brightest Fell (ADULT)

This was a wonderful story about a man, a drug he created and the depths he would go to to make sure it never fell into the wrong hands, the hands that would abuse it and weaponize it.  Even though his ways might seem very brash to start, like any genius there is more than meets the eye. Not to mention all the people and their lives he draws into his plans.
This was a well written fast pace book, it jumps right into the thick of it and never comes back out until the end.  The characters are believable and what seems like a bunch of misfit people all come together in ways you might not see until you get there.  The suspense is thick in places so make sure you keep breathing.  This really is a awesome political thriller, one that might even have you up past your bedtime reading as it did me.

The Juniper Wars: Armageddon Girls Part 1 (YA AUDIO)

Following the Sino-American wars, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Montana, and New Mexico have no power and are now collectively called the Juniper.  There is 1viable male for every 20 females.  This is the story of one family and what they must do to fulfill their debts that there mother has left them upon her death.  The only way they see to make that much money is to drive their cattle across a very dangerous land to sell to different people, people that will give them what they are worth, if they make it.  The three sisters take off and shortly in to the drive find a boy, one sister wants to sell him, one just wants him gone, but the third has fallen in love with him, what they don't know is who he is and the danger he is going to bring.
This was a exciting book from start to finish, there was non-stop action and suspense around every corner.  If you are a audio person this one is a must as Angela Rose Masi's performance is awesome.  She takes you to the dusty, gun slinging Juniper, where you can go on this adventure with Cavatica and her sisters.  You can be a part of their friends that is helping them on this drive.  Whether you are a audio person or a book person you won't be disappointed with this book.

Throwback: The Chaos Loop (MG)

Since Corey figured out he is the first throwback, he has started to go back in time a lot.  To help his sister not to get mugged on the train on the way home from school for one now he obsessed with changes he can make in time, addicted even, and he has his eyes set on Hitler.  But can all these trips in time change Corey in unintended ways?
This is a awesome historical fiction book, one where you learn a lot and don't know it.  At the same  time this book is jammed packed with action and suspense so even the reluctant of readers won't mind the sneaky learning.  The characters in the book are well formed and try their hardest to point Corey in the right direction but Corey doesn't always listen.  I really can not wait to see what Corey and his friends and family are up to next.

Not Your Idol Vol 1 (YA)

I don't usually go for Manga but this being a physiological suspense about a idol names Nina that gave up her idol career after being sexually assaulted at a event.  She has moved to a new town, has a new name and wears the boys uniform to her new school, where she gets teased a lot, if they only knew, but one boy does know.
I really like the book with all the suspense, however I felt like they just cut it off and now I have to wait for Vol 2 to come out, it just wasn't a smooth stopping place.  But I also can't wait for Vol 2 now so please hurry.

Dragon Ops (MG)

This is Ian's dream come true his favorite computer game is now a amusement park.  It uses augmented reality so people can come and play the game as their favorite character.  Ian is in heaven but his sister Lily and cousin Derek see this as a nightmare and could careless, even though Derek's dad help program the world and that is how they are now getting to play it before the park opens for real guests.  But once they enter the game they find themselves trapped by a rouge AI dragon that sends them on a quest they should not be able to do at their level and threatens to eat Derek if they don't do it. And thus begins the adventure of a lifetime.
This book is a wish come true for any gamer to read, it is full of suspense, twists and has action galore, there is even a mysterious player that shows up.  I thought this book blew the cool-o-meter right off of the chart, but if you know me you know I love these kinds of books, and I hope you will too.  Boy I hope there is more to come like this from the author, maybe even see Ian and the Dragonslayerz again.

Dragon and Mr. Sneeze: Witches of the Horseshoe (A Southern Coming of age Fantasy Story) (YA)

In a little town in Texas two witch friends will meet another witch that will change their lives forever.  While Famka and Ophelia have been friends and in training to be witches forever, it is poor Milly that just doesn't have much knack for the tuning.  However, she does have a old ghosty that she thought was her friend but isn't and is now after the three girls to get the original book of tuning.
This is a fun and action packed book that isn't like any other,  There are so many twists and turns and please don't turn as blue as a skeleton holding your breath through the many suspenseful parts. I will follow the author Blue Skeleton to the other side of the graveyard any day.  As you read this it will take you to a land like no other and one you can't wait to get back too.

Wild & Chance (MG)

Wild is a dog on the run with no memory of his past, Chance is a boy in a group home waiting  for his mom to get clean so he can go back to her.  But to each other it is best friends, at almost first sight, in a time when neither has a friend. However, when animal control shows up to take Wild it sends them both on the run, and when all seems lost and with no way out help comes from a hacker named Junebug then their duo becomes a trio all on the run and now looking for answers to Wilds past life.
This is a action packed, suspense filled wonderful book.  Calling all animal lovers this book is for you, it fulfills most all your wishes you have had about your furrbabies.  I am really sorry there isn't much more I can say without giving away all the good parts of this book so your just going to have to read it yourself and see how awesome Wild and this book are.  Also I really hope this isn't the last we have seen of our trio of friends.

Sons of War (ADULT)

This is a story of two families, one a Marine Sergent trying to do what is right by his Corps so he can go home to his family.  The other a mob family that moved to Los Angeles to reinvent their empire among the cartels and gangs.  The Marines of Desert Snakes unit have joined to Los Angeles Police Dept in a fight against the rising vigilante force of the new Americas, AMP.  They are working to keep California from falling to a dictator Vice President that had the president murdered.  Meanwhile the Moretti mob is figuring out how maximize the pushing of their drugs to the new encampments while strategically getting rid of their rivals by pitting gang against gang, police against gang, gang against cartel, whatever it takes.  But in the end it is all about families, both men and their families.
This is a action packed, suspense filled, wonderful book that is filled with excellent descriptions so clear (but not overly word) you will think you were there. This is such a different book, it is not your regular dystopian book, but you will have to wait until fall for part 2.

Shorefall (YA)

Sancia is going to finally take down the robbers of her town, her and her friends have a plan.  But when they find out about what the robbers have been doing behind the scenes, Sancia knows she will be in the fight of her life and it will take all of her sciving if she is to even have a chance against the first hierophant.
This is a interesting book, with great characters that have been well developed.  The book is filled with a new kind of magic, tech magic and that itself should catch peoples attention, as the action and suspense will keep them reading past their bedtime.

Master Class (ADULT)

What would you do if your child was taken from you, sent hours away, not allowed to call home, and you can only visit for 5 hours on days like Christmas, but there are less than a hand full of these visiting days?  When Elena Fairchild's nine year old daughter's "Q" score, that measures her potential, drops below the dreaded number she is sent to one of these state schools.  Elena knows she has to get her out even if means she bombs her own teacher assessment to follow her to this school, but what she finds is a parents worst nightmare, and to know her own husband is a part of all of this is even worse.
Although this book is a work of fiction a lot of the rhetoric behind the story is true and the hardest part is to know it went on in the U.S. up until 1979, and it is sad to think that the scientist and doctors behind all of this just didn't understand the cruelty they were imposing on people.  The author has another hit on her hands, her first book Vox was also wonderful.  Her characters are strong, there is action and a ton of suspense that will have you holding your breath.  The authors writing style makes it a joy to read even for reluctant readers.

Finneas Grey and the Vial of Nech: The Chronicles of Nesteryia, Book 1 (MG/YA AUDIO)

Finn is finding out how hard it is to be popular, he can't play certain games, or do certain activities, some of which he really likes to do with his best friend Audie.  But he knows she is really mad when he breaks a promise to her to do something more popular.  Best friends don't do that to each other.  But when they are sent to a magical world and separated, all they want is to be back together again, but who will help them navigate this new world.
This is a fun book, with lots of action, suspense, and lot of growing up.  It is wonderful in the fact that it points out how not to treat a friend, even though you might be growing apart.  But it is also a great book of bullies from both worlds and how to help during these times.  It is a wonderfully written book with awesome characters made even better by the wonderful narration of Fred Wolinsky, a man of a thousand voices, and he does have a different one for each character.  His voice will also transport you to the land of Nesteryia and you can be there with Finn and Audie as they go through all their trials.  I really can't wait for a book two and a chance to go back to Neseryia.

The Long Lost War (ADULT AUDIO)

When John 999...oh whatever, Mech or Mech man as John is referred to, since all male clones are referred to as John, is sent to Hell, not that one, this is a planet in a far away solar system to fight a ruthless unwavering opponent.  However his dreams of a woman take over and his life as a lowly clone grunt is about to change a lot.  But can dreams come true, and do they come at a price?
This was a amazing book of love in the time of war, a war between two people that has gone on far to long. The writing is awesome, action packed, suspenseful, and has a few surprising twists, what's not to love.  I had the audio version with narrator Jack de Golia who brings Mech alive and plops you down right in the middle of all that is going on in Mech's world as he paints you such a wonderful picture using his voice.  I hope this becomes a series because I want to know more.

Doctor's Dilemma (ADULT AUDIO)

Tyler Gentry, fresh out of med school and looking for his first job, thinks he has it all locked up until his parents die and everything falls apart.  But out of the blue he is offered a awesome job with great benefits, that it is just too good to turn down.  But once he gets there and starts working he starts to hear things about the practice and can feel the trepidation build.  When the main doctor of the practice dies that is when all the fun begins.  Should Tyler leave or stay at the practice with all its wonderful perks, that 2ould be a dilemma for anyone.
This is a very exciting, fast paced, suspenseful, medical drama, only you do not need to know anything medical to love this book.    Dr. Mabry's writing is well paced and the characters work very well together.  He doesn't throw a lot of medical jargon at you so everyone can enjoy his books.  I listened to the audio version of the book and Mr. Nevitt narration is wonder, he makes you feel a part of the story there with Tyler throughout the whole story.  The audio will not disappoint it was real good, but what ever format you decide on I think you will enjoy this book.

Legendarium The Wrath of Bob (ADULT AUDIO)

Three years after saving the Legendarium Mombo Dawson, a wonderful writer, and Alister Foley, a Goodreads troll, find themselves asked to save the Legendarium again.  This time it is from Bob, a radical who is trying to save people from horrible books by burning them, sending Mombo and Alister through time and books trying to save them all and stop Bob forever.
After listening to the first Legendarium, I could not wait for the second book to come out after I heard of the writing, and this one is just as good if not better.  I love that you can get a snippet of the classics, and some not so classic.  The characters are so cool too but I will only say that Mombo and Alister are polar opposites and that leads for some interesting and unpredictable times, the rest of the characters make this book with Mombo and Alister.  Narrator Robert Rossmann lends his voice to all of the characters and what interesting characters he makes them, he also sends you the listener traveling to places such as Russia and the wild west to name a few.

Greystone Secrets #2: The Deceivers (MG)

This the second book of the series starts with the Greystone kids and Natalie trying desperately to find a way to bring their mothers home.  Their mothers happen to be trapped in another world one in which the truth can be deadly.
This is a suspense filled book with lots of twist and turn so don't get lost down a rabbit hole or you just might miss the action of which there is plenty.  I hope the kids can hang on as well and get their mothers back in this book of two worlds, and never knowing who you can trust. I hung on and loved every second of this book and can not wait to see what Margaret Peterson Haddix has in store for the kids in the next book.

The Lucky Ones (YA)

May is a lucky one, but she doesn't feel like one, every since her brother, the genius, was a victim of a school shooting.  She feels responsible for what happened, and doesn't see how anybody else can possibly feel the way she does.  Zach became a social outcast the day his mother decided to represent the shooter, his friends are ghosting him, and his girlfriend left.  Than Zach and May meet each other when their schools are joined and hit it off, but they don't find out each others roles until later, can their friendship weather the biggest storm of them all?
This book has a refreshing and realistic take on school shootings, it that it is though the eyes of a survivor,  May should have died that day but was spared, and this book takes you though all her grief, panic attacks and all the symptoms of PTSD and survivors grief.  It is obvious the author did her homework and got it right , and her notes at the end are also well worth the read.  I really liked this book.

Chosen Ones (ADULT)

Some years back five teens were picked, after they fulfilled a prophecy, to fight the dark one, they fought and won but at what cost.  Slone has given much and what the other have called her PTSD may be more.  Now on the tenth anniversary of the dark ones death they find out that the dark one is still alive and in another parallel universe trying to come back and kill everyone he see fit.  Do the heroes, especially Slone have what it takes to fight him again.
This wonderful book was packed with action, suspense and twists and turns that will leave you holding your breath.  This book had me captivated and I know I stayed up way past my bedtime until I finished the book.  Ms. Roth has another hit on her hands.

A Good Girls Guide to Murder (YA)

Everyone in town knows the story, but is it the real story?  That is the question Pip is going to answer but re investigating this closed case as a senior project.  Pip knew Sal as a child and knows there was no way he killed his girlfriend than himself, and she is going to prove it with the only other person that believes her, Sal's brother.
This was a great action packed, suspense filled story that will hold any amateur sleuths attention.  The characters could come from anytown USA, and that helped me insert myself right in the story and was willing to help the kids.

Night of the Dragon (YA)

To save everyone Yumeko loves and cares about she gave up her portion of the Scroll of a Thousand Prayers.  Now Yumeko and her friends must hurry to keep the demons from using the one Dragon wish and plunging all they know into darkness and ruin.
This is a awesome book and I didn't want to say to much for fears of spoilers.  But this the third and final book of the trilogy and it is just as action packed.  The suspense at times is oh my gosh off the meter, along with the story twists just made this book a joy to read.  I will miss these friends but I hope Ms. Kagawa will bring more friends to life in a new series.

Sky Realms Online: Silverpeak: A LitRPG Adventure (ADULT AUDIO)

Hall and his friends are all back for more adventures.  Hall is now a lord of a long vacated village, and he and his friends find themselves in need of supplies.  So they set off for Silverpeak to stock up, but if you know this group than you know that is not as easy as it sounds.
I am sorry for the lack of description but I don't want to give away any of the action and suspense that fills this wonderful book to the top.  If you are luck enough to have the audio performed by Pavi Proczko than you can zone out and believe you are there with Hall and his little band of friends as they go on adventures, complete quests, and most importantly try and keep each other alive.

The Last Human A Novel (ADULT)

Sayra isn't the most scary creature on her space station, Watertower. She just wants to be treated better than her current status, which isn't much higher than a laundry hamper, all the while keeping her real identity a secret.  But on a field trip she meets someone like her and that is when things go wrong, her mother is killed fighting for her and a rogue space suit grabs her and takes her on board a spaceship with a ragtag crew fleeing the now exploding Watertower.
This is a good book full of twists, suspense and action.  This is also a very philosophical book at times.  It takes a long look at the human race and how it believes humans would act in certain circumstances.   It is one reaction I suppose, but the writing was good and I enjoyed the book..

The Lessons of Labradors (ADULT)

This is such a sad but uplifting book at the same time, the awesome eclecticness of the pet loss group and what each of them has to bring is real world but powerful.  This is truly a book written for animal lovers of every kind, even snakes.

I love these Knight and Devlin books they are so full of everything, action, suspense, twists, some history, and even a bit of romance.  But to be able to lose myself in the audio like I am there with Michael is priceless  and the wonderful narration by Bill Nevitt makes that possible.  I can't say enough about how the author and the voice actor have made this series great they go so well together.

This book is filled with action, suspense, and just a whole lot of fun.  This is a excellent read for anyone, even the reluctant ones.  This is a awesome book with wonderful characters you will cheer for.  It is a true spy novel for kids, and adults a like.

Sky Realms Online: Grayhold: A LitRPG Adventure: Sky Realms Online, Book 1 (YA AUDIO)

One day the players are informed that something happened during the game and they have died but right before they died the makers of the game were able to transfer their conscientious to a computer and until they can transfer their conscientious back to a body they will have to live in the computer game. Now they must figure out the basics, what can't you do now you use to do, what happens if you die in the game now, and who to trust.
I don't want to give to much a way about what happens and what they do, but trust me this is cool and probably something we have all thought about before, but now the pain is real.  This audio is awesome full of action and adventure, with some really cool characters.  I have to say if you get the audio narrated by Pavi Proczko you are in for something special, you will feel as though you are really there with our friends rooting them on and feeling their sadness.  This is a good book whether you are out for adventure, or ready for that new role playing game.

Wicked As You Wish (YA)

Alexei is hiding in a town where magic does work.  Why is he hiding? Because he is the last person in the Avalon royal bloodline, and the mean witch has frozen his land.  Tala doesn't care her best friend has secrets she has some too.  But when on Alex's birthday the firebird appears for the first time in decades.  Alex and Tala unite with some others and go to get Alex's kingdom back.
I don't even know where to start, this book is so cool, it mashes up so many different stories that can keep you reading this book just to see what comes next.  But don't forget the main story line because that will have you reading pass your bedtime.  The story is wonderful and the characters work so well together, and it is a book that will even hold a reluctant readers interest. I really hope there is a sequel.

MaƱanaland (MG)

Max likes two things soccer and stories.  His grandfather fills him full of stories and his father and grandfather were both acclaimed soccer players. But the one story Max wants to hear no one will talk to him about, his mother who left when he was  a baby.  But things start to change when Max is finally old enough to try out for the towns soccer team but needs a birth certificate, which he doesn't have.  Max's dad leaves to get him one and Max and his grandfather are to keep the family bridge building going in his absence.  It is during this time Max's life will change first he learns his mom went to Mananaland and now he is determined to go see her.  Max also finds out his dad has been smuggling women out of their town to Mananaland, so when the priest from the other town brings a girl that needs to be moved quickly Max takes on the job.
I have probably said to much but there is still a lot more to discover in this beautifully written book.  The diversity of this book is something we all need more of, and I don't think anything I can say here will do it justice as it is a must read.

Ghost Station (ADULT)

Germany, Berlin 1961 to be exact.  The wall is there and it just closed.  But we are going to follow one CIA cryptographer, Wally Reed.  Reed is the one decoding the messages from a operative called Longshore, but when a message is missed its up to Reeds office to find out where and what it is. When Reed and his girlfriend (who works in his office) figure out where the message is they go to get it, across the closed wall.  Once they  get the message they end up separated with Reed on the run on the wrong side of the wall.
This book is filled with espionage, spies, and lots of codes.  The book is action packed and has so much suspense it will have you on the edge of your seat.  The narrator Jonathan Davis brings this story to life and puts you right in the middle, next to Reed.  This is a wonderful book that brings that time period to the forefront and lets you see it through the eyes of people that where there when it happened what they were able to do about it.

Extinction Ashes: Extinction Cycle: Dark Age, Book 3 (ADULT AUDIO)

The authors have done it, they have maintained if not exceeded the action and suspense level in this their third book in the series.  If you are lucky enough to get the audio version narrated by the awesome  R. C. Bray than you really are in for a treat as he can transport you into the story so you think you are right there with our friends ready to help.  This is a series you need to put on your to do list.

Pippa Park Raises Her Game (MG)

Pippa has a lot on her mind, but first and foremost is to bring up her math grade so she can get back to being the star player on her schools basketball team. While being tutored by a rich kid from the Lakeview Private school, she receives a offer to go to school there and play basketball, as long as she maintains a good GPA.  Pippa is first generation Korean in the States and lives with her sister and her husband, her sister thought basketball took to much of Pippa's time and kept her from getting good grades, but when the offer of free private school comes she changes her mind about basketball, but often nags Pippa about the grade condition.
This was a great book portraying the Korean lifestyle and pressures that go with it, as well as normal teenage life. I really liked this book a lot it had action and some huge twists, along with  some very interesting characters. It is a book that will keep even reluctant reader reading, it is nice to see a diverse book in the middle grade category.  A real Woke book.

18 Tiny Deaths: The Untold Story of Frances Glessner Lee and the Invention of Modern Forensics (ADULT)

This is a biography of Frances Glessner Lee.  She brought about the more modern era of forensics, and some of her techniques are still used today.  Her ambition in this field in a time when women being in this field was non-existent. She had to fight everyone for everything she got and got to do.  She is best known for her little dioramas that depicted violent deaths, as they called homicides than, and using these dioramas to teach crime scene investigation to police officers.
This was a very interesting book it took me right back to my crime scene investigation class, where we still did crime scene mock ups.  This book was well written and come at a time when woman are finally being  credited with all the things they actually did back when it wasn't spoken of.  It was a really good non-fiction book.

Highfire (ADULT)

Squib Moreau is a fifteen year old boy just trying to do for his mom any way he can, out in the bayou of the west-bank of New Orleans Parrish.  But the sheriff has a thing for Squib's mom and sees Squib as a obstacle in his pursuit.  The sheriff is also dirty as a Marie Laveau's magic and when Squib catches him in the act that sets off the events that bring Squib and Highfire together whether they like it or not.
This book was great I loved it so much it took me back to my days when I lived in New Orleans, and the authors setting and facts about it are well researched.  I don't want to give any spoilers so I won't go into particulars but this is a action packed, funny at times, suspense ridden, not your normal dragon book, it is so much more. This book is well worth you time especially if you are not a purest about dragons, because Highfire is a modern dragon.

Race to the Sun (Rick Riordan Presents) (MG)

Nizhoni Begay is having a tough time in seventh grade, her old normal school she was different for being Navajo.  Her new reservation school she is different for being different.  Than when her dad brings home his new boss, Mr. Charles, Nizhoni see that he is a monster something only she and her brother know she can do.  But when Nizhoni sneaks home the next day to get her forgotten lunch she see Mr. Charles and his henchman kidnapping her dad, that is when Nizoni, her brother and her best and smartest friend Davery decide to go after him by way of their Navajo ancestors.
This is such a good book, especially if you like hearing different lore, this book is Native American Indian lore, and if you read carefully you can catch several different stories in there.  I love these diverse, woke books we need many more of them or the stories will die as you hear Nizhoni talk about.  We can all be keepers of the stories we just need to listen first, and hopefully you do to this book as it has a lot to teach us all.

The Last Mystic (Singularity Series Book 4) (ADULT)

Eli is back from the dead and Kamali is ready to be the next offering to hopefully bring about the second Singularity.  But the more times Eli goes in to get others out and save others from death, he figures out what is meant by him being the bridge, and there is possibly another way to bring about the Second Singularity than just offering up Kamali his girlfriend.
This is the last book of the Singularity series and it is just as action packed and philosophical as the others in the series.  Mrs. Quinn will keep you on your toes throughout this book as there are twists and enlightening around every corner. This is a great book and a wonderful series it is one that can take you places you never expected to go.

The Seeking Serum (Potion Masters) (MG)

In this final book of the Potion Masters trilogy, Gordy must face off against his grandfather in order not to just save the B.R.E.W. community, but the whole world as he knows it.  Will Gordy be enough, can his friends bolster him during this time of trial.  Gordy's mom does everything she can to keep him safe but Gordy knows it will take a different way to beat his grandfather a way that has not been tried before, and he will have to be in the middle of it as usual to have any chance to win.
This books action never stops and the suspense might just wipe you out, it is a wonderful and fitting end to the trilogy, although I don't think I am done hearing about Gordy and his friends (hint hint Mr. Cole). This book and series will keep young wizards and witches reading  before they are ready for more well known books or after they have finished those well known books and want more.

Notorious (MG)

Keenan has lived all over the world and Zeebee has never left the island except to go to school, but both are restless.  Keenan is stuck at his dad's house on the island after a bout of TB and ZeeBee just wants a friend.  This unlikely pair works out well until school starts and Keenan stays on the island with all the kids that have teased Zeebee because of her love of the islands notorious historic past.  But how strong is their friendship and can it survive Keenan's new friends?
This is a wonderful book of friendship and seeing past what is obvious and looking into the deep, you know, don't judge a book by it's cover.  Everyone has a secret but does everyone get to know it, and if you truly believe something is true should you give up on your belief no matter who all doesn't believe you until you find the real truth?  There are a lot of secrets to be found out in this book so the suspense is high, but the action is even higher.  Mr. Korman's books are written for people of all ages to enjoy even most reluctant readers will find this book along with other series by Mr. Korman very fun to read as I have.

Dear Edward (YA)

Edward's claim to fame is to be the only survivor in a horrific plane crash that also took the lives of his family.  Edward is broken but he needs to learn to live again, but he is almost haunted by some of the passengers he remember from the flight and it is these ghosts he must come to terms with in order to learn to live again although nothing will ever be the same.
This book was so much more than you typical coming of age book, maybe because Edward has so much else to fight through, and he struggles to make sure everyone else is fine while everyone else is walking on eggshells to make sure Edward is fine, which he hates and sees right through.  Edward is a very interesting character one you won't find many other places and that is what makes this book so special is he is not fine in the first few chapters but you see his process and progress, but it is something that will stay with him for the rest of his life, but he still has to live because he is the one here.
