Warcross (YA)

Emika Chen, a down on her luck Warcross bounty hunter, owing money to everyone and about to be evicted from her rat hole of a apartment, she tries one last ditch thing to gain her a little money, she hacks into the Warcross opening ceremonies only to accidentally glitch herself, making herself visible to everyone, and becoming a overnight sensation.  From there she is sure she will be thrown in jail but her life take a very different twist, one very cloak and dagger, one that will take her into the dark net and show her that the game of Warcross is more than just a game.
I absolutely loved this book, the action was non stop, the suspense with Zero went throughout the book, and the twists kept you on your toes, as did the side stories, some I am sure will blossom more in subsequent books.  This is the first book I ever read and thought while reading it, "Wow this would make a awesome movie." so that is saying something, hint hint movie people, pay attention, maybe Netflix!  I was so trying to turn more pages at the end (don't get me wrong it ended at a good place) I just was not ready for it to end, so I can not wait for the next book. Hurry Hurry Hurry

Beginnings The Pandemic Series Book One (ADULT AUDIO)

Makenzie Hagan a doctor with the CDC, Nathan Hunter a officer with a special unit of the DOD, keep crossing paths until a spark flies, actually more than one spark, but they finally figure out they are working on the same case but in different ways.  It seems her outbreak and his terrorist are linked but now the race is on to save the worlds population, and their selves.
This is a awesome book that is very entertaining but can also make you think if you are so inclined, and if you do will you still do the same things you have always done?  Do you still shake hands, take your neighbors soup when they are sick with the flu, or even wipe your kids nose?  Do you start stock piling water and food in a shelter, or just take things as they come?  This book is well researched, action packed, and suspenseful right up until the end where you can't help but rush for the next to see what happens.
I had the audio version with narrators John David Ferrell and Kris Adams who tag teamed the male and female roles and brought the book alive, they were great, they made you part of the team like you were there with the guys helping them, providing cover, running tests, doing what needs to be done.  And it was these fine narrators teamed with a really good author that made that possible.

Mari's Hope (MG)

This is the final chapter in this part or Mari's story, of a childhood that wasn't a childhood at all.  The first two books in this trilogy are Odin's Promise and Bjorn's Gift.  The three books follow Mari through the German occupation of Norway, a story not often told but just as horrific at times and powerful as well.  Mari's family is strong in the resistance and Mari is also a respected Doctors helper in their small village, which also helps her to be able to move around when others can't, like after curfew.  However, she is always worried about the soldiers living in their house snooping and her old friend from school whos family now support the Germans.  Are extra food rations that important?  But is everything always as it seems?
This was a very powerful series, and a story not often told but just as important in history as any other.  It is told in a exciting but very real way, it does not glamorize war but doesn't scare and totally traumatize children either.  There is plenty of action, a lot of hold on to your seat suspense, and just a few (ha ha) twists and turns to keep you on your toes.  But all in all it is a really awesome historical fiction book that I think any one would, young and older, great reader or reluctant (might need help with the Norwegian, but heck don't most of us), love to read.

Deliver Us From Evil Demons Beware Part II (ADULT)

The Devil has recruited a hitman to do his bidding, and he is after those who help the people the Devil uses, the ones he possesses, Priests, and not just any Priests, but the few that can do exorcisms.  But out of all of the priests and people the Devil has his eyes on the one that got away, Tony.  Tony while working as a mechanic and trying desperately to be admitted into the priesthood  despite numerous rejections keeps trying, knowing that someday he can help his brother Billy and his friend James fight demons and the Devil, like the one that possessed him as a child.
This was an action packed from start to finish, roller coaster type book with all the twists and turns, but so good.  You will stay up past your bedtime because you won't want to put it down, it is one of those books where you say to yourself one more chapter to see what happens to (fill in the blank), for many more chapters.  A awesome sequel to Demons Beware and well worth it, it will not disappoint.

Girls Who Code: The Friendship Code (MG)

Lucy has joined the coding club at school so she can learn to build a app for her uncle who has cancer remember when to take his meds and which ones to take at certain times.  But the club is moving to slow, she asked, begged, everyone she knows to help her learn faster, but everyone tells her the same thing, this is something you can not rush you need to learning it in steps and be meticulous.  But then strange noted start showing up on Lucy's locker and in order to follow the direction she has to have the help of those around her, that means making new friends and reuniting with older ones, and finding strength she didn't know she had, not to mention finding help in hidden places.
This was a awesome  book for introduction to coding, but there are different types of coding and while the foundation is solid it would be nice to know somewhere what language this is they are teaching.  But I loved how the friendship came together over code and how they found to one important thing that really needed to be tackled and that is what they started to do at the end.  But the clues along the way to teach the foundation and the awesome way they found to root out the mysterious note leaver was awesome this is such a cool book, and if you ask any one I am always a sucker for computer coding books anyways but this one is awesome I can't wait to see what  the friend get up to next.

The Siege (YA)

The Siege, sequel to The Six , is just as explosive.  Almost everyone is back, and even though they thought their foe was gone Sigma was just hiding until he could become strong enough again to come after the special one.  Special one?  Who knew there was a special one and which is it? And now there might be a traitor amongst the Pioneer ranks, what can be worse, asking Alex to figure out which of his friends is the traitor that is what can be worse.  All the while Sigma is attacking Alex's hometown relentlessly, and for what?
This book keeps up all the action and suspense Mr. Alpert's readers have come to love along with many twists and turns that they won't see coming.  This is a awesome sequel to The Six and a great segway into The Silence the next book in the series. This is a great sci-fi series with a lot of robotics thrown in.  There  is also a lot to think about as far as morality goes but can just also just be a fun read so take what you will but have fun reading it as it is a great book/series.

Alpha Wolf: Olento Research Series Book One (ADULT AUDIO)

Twelve men go missing, all with similar backgrounds, but after all this time no one is looking for them, except the Lucidites and that is because they know what they are now and they need to protect the regular humans from them. When Addie gets the Alpha and finds out what happened she knows it is a race against the clock and Olento to get the rest of these men and to figure out how this happened and how the Lucidites can help fix this.
Sarah Noffke has another winning series on her hands as she cross the Lucidites with werewolfs, along with the non stop action, and intense suspense, coupled with  Adelaide snark even though she isn't quite Ren she is learning fast.  Narrator Elizabeth Klett pulls it all together with her different voices and awesome narration of this book she really brings this world of dream travelers alive and it is one I wish I could live in sometimes, ok a lot of the time.  This is a awesome book and looking to be a awesome series, and I can't wait for more.

The Unwelcomed The Uninvited Book 3 (ADULT AUDIO)

The Stranger thinks it is time to retire and goes and finds a place deep in a huge piece of woods where hopefully people won't bother him and  most of all temp him back to killing ways.  But that doesn't happen and the stranger finds he was ready to hang up his ax.  But how close did FBI agent Grey get while the Stranger was taking his break?
This is another welcomed book from Evans, after almost a year since The Stranger came out on audio, and another warning it is probably no one you want to listing to late at night, by yourself, especially in a older creakier house.  Narrator SW Salzman makes it creepy enough with the voices he uses, you won't want anything else to freak you out, as this book is not for those faint at heart.  But both author and narrator do such a awesome job that you just can't stop once you get started, so I am warning you now, last time, really no turning back.

The Ring of Carnac Book II in the Tales of Gaspar (MG AUDIO)

Kay, Jerra, and all of their friends are back as they must stop the mean witch from setting lose the fire elemental and destroying everything.  But they need the ring to stop her the only problem is it has been lost for hundreds of years and the clock is ticking, will a obscure clue from one of Alimin's crazy wizard friends help them?
To say that this book has non stop action is not enough to do it justice, the action really never ends in this book and the suspense at times you can cut with a knife.  I had the audio narrated by Fred  Wolinsky and he sucks you in to the world and brings you along as part of the team, and at times you really wish you could help them in their quest.  Mr. Wolinsky's voices for each of the character is awesome and you will come to love each and every one of them as friends they will become.

The Epic Crush of Genie Lo (YA)

It was just another ordinary day for Genie Lo on her way to school thinking of all she needed to accomplish on her to do list for the day, when she noticed a boy being beaten in a ally and knew she had to do something. By throwing her backpack at the men and distracting them it was just enough to stop them, but now she has to run to school so they don't beat her, but that isn't what she is worried about, nope, it is her missing notes and books.  But than her backpack is there along with a new student, the monkey king from the stories of old.
This was a great story mixing modern with ancient lore, with a lot of  action, suspense and there are a few twists and turns that will keep you on your toes, but all and all  it is a book that captures your interest and you wont want to put it down.  I really hope we get to see more of Genie and Quentin soon.

Survive: Camp Terror (MG)

After being closed for many years Camp Dream Haven has finally reopened but the stories are still told around the campfire of the boy who disappeared all those years ago.  But camp counselor Telly laughs and tells the campers the real reason the camp closed was over land right.  But when Telly's group gets lost on a rafting trip and her brother and another camper who needs medicine on a regular basis goes over a water fall after the raft gets flipped right before night fall, it seems the camps bad luck has started again.
This book is full of action, suspense and more that a few twists and turns.  It also  has some nice Native American folk lore added in that lends itself nicely to the book.  This is a awesome book for many age groups and shows great diversity, it will also appeal to reluctant readers as well as children growing up in many different circumstances.

The Lost Boys (GRAPHIC NOVEL)

If you've seen the movie and ever wondered what happened in Santa Clara after Max and rest of the blood suckers goo has been washed away, here is your chance.  Michael and Sam are back along with Star, Laddie and of course the Frog brothers and it seems there is a new female coven of vamps that has moved to town and they call themselves the Blood Belles. So who will win this  battle of the beaches?
This is a very entertaining graphic novel especially for me since I was a big fan of the Lost Boys as a movie when I was kid (UGH dating myself there), I could still hear the sound track playing in the background as I read this graphic novel.  But it was a blast from the past and I really liked it.  The illustrations were awesome, as was the story line!!! It was really so cool, and I hope to actually be able to own these some day (public librarians do not actually make enough to own every book they want and live), but these actually rank really high on my list, sorry Ironman.

Mass Hysteria (ADULT)

After a meteor shower one summer night all seems well, that is until the next day... Planes fall from the sky, dogs and cats attack their owners, bird come from the sky to peck beach goers to death, the world is going vial, and will the people be next?  No one knows what is going on.
This story is not for the faint of heart, but if you  like good old fashion horror with a updated twist, than Falls Breath is the town for you.  This little beach, touristy town is now a lawless everything for itself spot on the map, what they don't know is if it is this way everywhere else in the USA.  With all the communication and most of the transportation knocked out it doesn't look like they will find out either.  It leaves every person for themselves and that gets messy.
This action packed, suspenseful book will leave you surprised more than once, and that will keep you on your toes, no figuring out the ending in this book, so just read and enjoy.  It is a lot of fun, I wonder if there will be more to see what happens later, or if this was it, either or it was still awesome.

Illusion Book Four of the Grimoire Saga (YA AUDIO)

This, the last few grains of sand in the hour glass of time for Kara and Braeden, and the lands they love as the war comes to a end, but will they win and get more time or lose and everyone runs out of time?  Kara will do anything to win and give her land the time to heal and that scares Braeden to death, because despite his feelings it is not a luxury he can afford for her.  They think they have everything figured out down to the timing, except for one variable, the traitorous blood among them.
This was a bitter sweet book for me, it was just as action packed, suspense filled, and had all the twists and turns I have come to love, but I was sad that this was the last of the series, I don't think I was prepared to let Kara, Braeden, Stone, and First Vagabond go yet, they where such awesome strong characters, that I have grown to love. Listening to the series with Kara Kovacich Stewart narrating and giving each of the character a voice I have each of them, and the whole land of Ourea, pictured in mind just through her awesome descriptions.  Between the authors words and the narrators voice talent I was there fighting for Ourea, and it was awesome, and I will miss it tremendously.

The List (MG) (YA)

Letta is a wordsmith on the Ark, the last safe place on the earth.  She is the keeper of the words, she makes the official list that people are allowed to use because it was the over use of words that caused the last catastrophe that pretty much wiped out the earth and everything on it.  There is no more music because that was a frivolous use of words.  But there are people that live on the outskirts of the Ark that believe differently and they are trying to start a revolution.   Letta is forced with a horrid decision as her leader keeps cutting more and more words, to stay and accept the way things are or rebel and fight for the words she holds dear.
This is a awesome book and one that makes you think on so many different levels.  I am sure a middle grade reader might find certain things in their life's to fight for that would be different that a young adult or adult, but it makes each think of those things and how they might go about it in their everyday life same as Letta did.  This is a powerful book and I hope it will make one of this generations classics.

Prehistoric Beasts and Where to Fight Them (ADULT AUDIO)

Everyone is on the hunt for gigadon the super huge beast that pretty much killed famed film director Jake Bentneus and who is now offering a one billion dollar prize to the person or team that brings him the head of gigadon, including his own dream team.
Author Navikov has a way with story telling.  The non-stop action, suspense, and twists all were awesomely placed, with the horror sprinkled all around.  The characters are all well defined and play well off of each other and if you have the audio narrated by S W Salzman than you are really in for a treat, as he has voices for each character and Slip Jack's voice is pretty cool.  Salzman can easily suck you into the story like you are on Spit with the team, just by listening, his voice is mesmerizing,  and well worth the audiobook.

Without You Book 1 In The Changing Hearts Series (YA 14+ AUDIO)

Ariana meets Lucas her senior year and he is everything a girl could ever want, except she has always wanted University of Georgia and has done everything she can to get there and afford it, scholarships and all, and he can't go.  So is it Lucas or U of G and will there be any regrets over her choices?
This is a awesome book with very real teenage problems weaved throughout the book, ones teens face day to day and the ones the deal with going off to college. I really enjoyed this book for the fact that it was kept realistic on all levels.  Narrator Ramona Master made this book especially wonderful by her beautiful narration, her portrayal of the different characters was awesome and the feeling and emotion she interjected in to the story, through her voice was phenomenal.  It was really good you should give it a try if you have never tried one before.

The Dark Net (ADULT)

The dark net is a place for people to go to stay anonymous and still do their illegal and illicit deeds on a far corner of the web, a spot so deep you can't be traced or found, but now there are even shadier creatures lurking there, literally.  There is a small group that stands in their way of dominating present day Portland, fifteen year old Hannah, her Aunt Lela, Juniper, and Derek, in a very real struggle for the dark and the light.
When I first read about the book I thought it was all computers, I have to tell you right now it is not.  So if you are not the tech savvy, all computer, code in the book, kind of lover, than you will love this book.  This book is more about the fight between the light and the dark, a age old tale with a very new spin on it and that is fresh.  I really enjoyed this book with the strong characters and thought out plot, it keeps you wanting to read on well past your bedtime.

Sparks of Light (YA)

A riveting sequel to Into the Dim, Sparks of Light brings back the whole gang and after learning of plans to steal a time traveling device  from 1800's New York, off they go on their own adventure to get it  first and save the timeline from utter chaos.  And who better than the renown scientist Nikola Tesla to have discovered it and built it, with some very bad help.  Will to love conquer all or will death reign in this arena to see who gets the device first?
This is another awesome book filled  with action, history, science, more action, twist and turns you won't see coming, a little romance (but not a lot), and even more action that does not stop.  I loved this book it really keeps you on your toes, every bit of it is a cliffhanger, you never want to put it  down because you just want to see what is going to happen next.  I took a while for this book to come out but it surely will not disappoint.

Genius: The Con (YA)

Sequel to Genius: The Game this book starts out right where the story left off, however, if you read on it does fill in the blanks so you don't necessarily have to have read book one, but it is a really good book and you will want to read it anyways after reading this one so why not go ahead and read them in order.  :)
Painted Wolf gets Rex and Tunde out of dodge and into Tunde's village with his special EMP weapon for the local warlord that is holding Tunde's family and people hostage.  But the three teens have also came with plans to hopefully defeat the warlord once and for all, but if it doesn't work they will kill everyone, and never find Rex's brother.
This is such a non stop action packed book, I just could not put it down.  If you like techy stuff and books filled with action all the time this is for you.  The three main characters are so cool I would love to tag along with them some time and just watch them do their thing and maybe learn something. I think Painted Wolf is my hero, but Rex is so cool on the computer, but I am more like Tunde with mechanical skills.  So it is easy to find something of yourself in at least one of  the characters and follow that along in the story so it is like you are there, in the action with them.  So much fun!

Out of the Soylent Planet (A Rex Nihilo Adventure) Book 0 (ADULT)

This is a story of a futuristic con man (Rex) and a robot assistant (Sasha) that is stuck with Rex since Rex was conned into buying Sasha, so Sasha tries her best to help Rex the best she can.  But after being sent to the planet Jorfu to atone (or die) for some errant con and money owed to one king pin.  Rex and Sasha find themselves on the run for their lives and the only thing that will save them is the take over of the company Ubiqorp.
This is one action packed, suspenseful, funny, book, and when in their two other friends than it will really get you laughing.  These two find friends in odd places but get caught by Ubiqorp in the most predictable places.  It can be a comedy of errors and with Sasha's shutting down and rebooting at the wrong time issue it can just be a fun book, but the question still remains is soylent people?

Real Life Evil A True Crime Quickie Book One (ADULT AUDIO)

This is a audiobook for true crime book lovers that don't have the time to listen or read a full length book.  This first book centers on two stories, the first being, "Hiding in Plain Sight" that focuses serial killer Jack Unterweger and his most dangerous but clever, simplistic methodology to lure and kill his prey.  The second, "A Message From the Grave", still haunts Long Island New York, it is the Gilgo Beach murders in which they still to this day have not caught the person responsible.  Both stories are told very well and  with the right amount of detail, book narrator Jason Fella keeps it professional but pleasing with a wonderful voice for these stories there is a creep factor but one that is supposed to be there not one that is added to spook you.  The crime scene details and other technical aspects are explained well so everyone can understand.  This is really a outstanding quick book for the true crime lover in your life.

The Light of Reason The seekers Book 3 (YA AUDIO)

Orah and Nathaniel are back from their travel in hopes of bringing new and better things but what they find is chaos.  They hoped to bring a great light what they instead brought was darkness and war, but what can they do, and how can their new tech help them to avoid the bloodshed?
This is a wonderful series it can be fun in so many ways but also deep and make you think, and narrator Erin deWard plays the different parts so well you will find yourself lost in their world. There is a lot of action, and suspense for sure.  But three young adults who will lead their world into peace or war, depending on how things work out but are ready for each, as I teen I was ready to go to war but I never had to make the decision to send people to war and I know I could not have made that decision.  But in their world they have already seen and endured so much, it is a story not to be missed.

Marcus A Death Knocks Story (YA AUDIO)

This is a awesome novella on the back story of Marcus and what happened during that blank time when he became a BEK (black eyed kid), even though his turning did not exactly go as planned, and now he still doesn't want to be BEK and is resisting.  Despite the urges Marcus, with Astid there to help, isn't going to bend to Level Six's will and be what he knows he is not.  But he will use some of his new found abilities for good, like scaring his little brother and his friends into not using drugs.
This was a really good back story, and you got to learn a lot about Marcus, his dreams and what he was really like, not just what he portrayed on the outside and that was special.  Jeff Simpson the audiobook narrator does a awesome Marcus and that made this book the much special.  This novella still had the action and suspense that you are used to from this series so no worries, the BEK's never disappoint.

The Dark Knight Wyrd book 2.0 (ADULT AUDIO)

The Dark Knight is the sequel to the The Red King.  It picks up from the end of The Red King, where Frank and Holiday are still at it and the new people are still fitting in.  But one night Ash goes out to rescue a special needs kid, Cory, maybe not a kid anymore as he has had to grow up fast especially after the future he has seen.
A really amazing, thought out book with awesome characters and the jump in time with Cory was  pretty cool.  Cory is a strong kid and maybe that is what I liked most about him he can get through anything, he is vengeance, he is the night, he is Batman, I think he is my hero right now and I can't wait to see how his story ends up.  This is really a cool story and I can't wait for the next one especially with narrator Guy Williams reading, the audiobooks have been spectacular.  Mr. Williams has wonderful voices for the characters and he sucks you into their world as though you are there, he is a great narrator definitely one not to be missed.

The Flense part 3 (ADULT AUDIO)

Angelique has more pieces to the puzzle including the only survivor from the train, but if Angelique doesn't do something fast the girl won't be a survivor much longer.
Again, Mr. Tanpepper and Mr. Greene have brought this story out front and alive for the listener of this audiobook.  It makes you wonder if all of this could really happen in real life right here, right now.  Mr. Tanpepper's story makes you think and his story's is filled with all the action and twist and turns of a super roller coaster ride.  Mr. Greene brings the book alive with his awesome narration and storytelling abilities, he puts you right there in the middle of the action and everything that is going on and he might even put you in some spots you do not care to go.  This serial is so great I can't wait for more, really I can't  wait more, really please hurry.

Tales From the Haunted Mansion Vol II: Midnight at Madame Leota's (MG)

This was a really cool book about a man who came to the mansion looking for the famous Madame Leota so he could talk to his dead sister on last time, instead he encountered the mansions librarian (what a awesome job if I do say so myself) and was made to listen to several hair raising tales, (and I assure you reader, some are very creepy).
This book is really good for those middle grade readers looking for the creepy tales like goose bumps, but these come with a Disney twist as this mansion is the one of fame from the Disney park.  This book will make a awesome addition to any library even the haunted ones.

The Flense part 2 (ADULT AUDIO)

This is part two of the twelve part serial and it picks up right where the last one left off, with Angelique trying to put all the puzzle pieces together even though she doesn't have all the pieces yet, and she has a gun to her head.
This story is one to suck you in and never let you go until it feels like it.  With Narrator Doug Greene reading it, it is even worse, he has all the characters down pat and he is so good at this you just loose yourself between his voice and Mr. Tanpepper's story you don't have a chance but to get sucked in and want more and more like a audio junkie.  All the action and twist and turns, who is spying on who and working for who.  All I can say is thank goodness there are twelve of these to keeps us going for a while, because you will want the next one before you finish the one you have.

Time Sniffers (Shadow World Book 1) (YA)

In the future when our world is in need of a alternative source of energy and scientist are desperately looking everywhere for one, one set of scientists are looking at harnessing black matter for a new energy, but they don't fully understand the consequences of doing that until the day they disappear.  It is just assumed that they blew up.  But the daughter (Bria) of one scientist knows her mom didn't blow up, she knows her mom is alive somewhere and when she sees a strange sign everywhere she knows she must do something to find her mom.  That is when K-Six comes into Bria and her Autistic brother Dylan's life to help them, and their friends sniff out the time her mom and the other scientist are trapped in and to close the rip.
I don't want to say much else and give anything away.  I will say that the first couple of chapters are kind of science laden but once you get through that it is so good, action packed and full of twists and turns and I really hope there is more to come because there are certain things I need to find out what happened with as I am sure you will too if you read the book.

Death Knocks (YA AUDIO)

Who knew that a simple knock at the door could change ones life forever?  Unfortunately, Maverick knows that all to well now that everything he has known and loved has changed, his world is figuratively and literally upside down, and he doesn't even know where to start to try and put some of the pieces back together, but he knows he has to do something or the black eyed kids will tear some other kids world up like they did his.
I don't want to say to much for fear of giving to much away but this is a really awesome book, and the narrator, Jeff Simpson, really makes the book come alive with his voices for every different character and the way he pulls you into the story you are there living it with Maverick and his friends.  This is a really awesome action packed, twists and turns, kind of book by Ms. Hardy and I can't wait to see what happens to Maverick and his friends, because there must be more?

The Age of Innocence (ADULT AUDIO)

Mostly a documentary of culture of the elite rich in New York in the 19th century.  The love they had for each other but the life they were not allowed to live together.
This was a fascinating historical book  by Ms. Wharton and it really shows the reader all the ins and outs of the way things where back then.  It is the wonderful voice of narrator Elizabeth Klett that really brings New York and all the characters alive in the book, I don't think it is a  book I would have ever read but listening to Ms. Klett narrate this book brought me into New York like I was a bystander, watching it all happen that was so cool, thank you!

The Traveler (ADULT AUDIO)

This is a story of a daughters love for her father and the fact that it is so strong it can transcend time.  It isn’t exactly a sad sorry at all, but a very powerful and uplifting story as her (Tee a 12 year girl) father left her a project (they worked closely together in his blacksmith forge as Tee was his apprentice) to get her through the rough part of his death.  It was as if he knew he was going to die, but how?  Like I said a very powerful and uplifting story of a love stronger than most.  Even though this is actually a short story it packs quite a punch in its small size, it is well worth every page, Thank you Stefan Bolz and your most awesome narrator Arden Hammersmith for bringing this story alive for me it truly was the best hour spent in a very long time, thank you again.

The Silence: The Six Series Book 3 (YA)

When Adam joined the pioneer program he became part of a team, they were to protect the world from digital threats.  Now Adam has more power and he's not sure how to use it , but his new girlfriend, and newest pioneer, Amber is helping him try to figure it out, only Adam's friends keep trying to warn him that her ideas are not in his best interest, only Adam won't listen.  Adam feels more more alone and isolated.
This is a very exciting action packed and suspenseful book with many twists and turns,  It asks many very real questions about very real science and beliefs going on today and will leave you thinking what if?  If you are in any way interested in computers and the digital world you will love this series, it is not written over anyone's head but takes you on a wild ride through the digital world and spits you out on the other side asking questions even scholars are asking now.

Serafina and the Splintered Heart (MG)

So how to write this without giving anything away, even the awesome plot?
Serafina is back with all of her friends and they must work together to find a way to beat the nastiest, darkest, toughest, mysterious threat yet to them and to the Biltmore estate.
I love this book, as I love the other two Serafina books.  The Blue Ridge Mountains and their lore as well as the Biltmore hold special fascination for me, so sometimes it is as if Author Robert Beatty is just filling in some gaps for me.  He uses the most exciting characters, Serafina (of course), Braeden, Waysa (the Cherokee Indian), Serafina's mother (the Catamount), and so many more good, bad and some that are not sure which they are yet.  Mr. Beatty's use of short, exciting chapters make his books appealing to all readers, young, older, reluctant, and well versed.  These books are truly books for everyone.

The Bleak December (ADULT AUDIO)

They knew it would be a bad winter, but not bad like this, this was supernatural bad.
And only author Kevin Summers and his awesome narrator George Kuch could get me to keep on listening to something that goes from bad to worse and to worse still yet, but hey it was all to those New Englanders, Ayuh!
This really is a awesome book that keeps your interest to the very end no matter what and the audio narrator George Kuch really is wonderful, he did such a great job with all the characters and is just a talented narrator.

E-Sports Competitions (MG)

This is a book on E-Sport competitions, how to find them, enter them, rules, structure, and compete in them.  The book starts out with some history and moves into types of games a person might compete in.  I have to admit I found the first part of the book almost a ad for Call of Duty since the name was mention so often, and that is sad since there are so  many other games out there that where not even touched on, I suppose first person shoot is most widely know but there are so many other types of games.  I was excited to get the book but felt let down there was so much more that could have been included, the was a pro or no book.  The best part about E-Sports is there is so much more the betas and the rest, you need to be a pro to have a sponsor.

Zombie Park: The Z Day (ADULT AUDIO)

Think of Jurassic park only with zombies.  They would make them, display them, have shows with them (like with the dolphins), you could feed some like you do at the zoo, only one rule, no zombie birds - to hard to contain.  But really??? It seems the military really just needs a front for their smart zombie project and this sounds good, bit is it good?
This is a very interesting book, with very interesting issues (not to mention the author set it in my backdoor, I don't live that far away from that part of Indiana), the author has everything very well thought out, and his characters are awesome and work so well together, it is hard to say much else without giving the good parts away.  If you like audiobooks this one is narrated by Persephone Rose is not to be missed, it is really good, I can not wait for the next two parts.

The Flense (ADULT AUDIO)

Oh My Gosh what a wild ride author Saul Tanpepper takes you on, this book starts at the top of the hill of a roller coaster and never stops, even the ending is a cliffhanger (it is a serial after all) and I CAN NOT wait for part two.  I had the audio book narrated by Doug Greene who just make the excitement that much more palpable.  So Mr. Tanpepper you have me hooked, how many more people will you reel in?
