Juniper's Christmas

Juniper Lane has been thrown under the bus when her and her moms friend shows Juniper something strange in the woods Things snow ball from there.  Juniper’s mom disappears, their friend is bad sick and Juniper is trying to track down a woods man in her woods that might be able to help her friend but then she gets stuck in a race to save Christmas, their friend, her mom and her own life. 

The book is wonderful and will bring the magic of Christmas to everyone young and older.  It has lots of action, and even more suspense.  But the magic of the season is sprinkled like a leak in a bag, it starts small and slow then becomes a gusher later.  This is a wonderful book I hope to read a lot more Juniper Lane adventures in the future. 

 

Undisclosed (The Factory)

Amani’s first mission by herself and it seems straight forward, just keep another operatives kid who just lost her dad to a mission not to blow the other operative on the mission’s cover, and the Factory as well.  Amani knows what will happen if she doesn’t succeed and really doesn’t want that for this kid or any kid.  In order to get close Amani must sing on a stage and win a place in Danielle’s band and move on to the summer camp with them for a place in a show The Next Teen Sensation. Amani must keep her cover through everything and still try and win the trust of Danielle and help see why she should help keep what she knows a secret.

I love this series with the strong female characters.  There is some action, a lot of suspense, and tons of fun.  Amani faces a lot of the pressures of teen life and it shows great ways on how to deal with it.  The plot and series are refreshing to read it is not the same as other books and I really like the characters all of them, and hope to see Amani again.

Ashley just out of college has a accepted a job as community Liaison in Third district, a district of mostly aliens.  While aliens do the same thing as everyone else eat, sleep, sign karaoke, but they do have some very different needs. It is Ashley’s job to figure out how to make all of their concerns and needs mesh together and everyone feel they got what they wanted or at least a good compromise, and she needs to be very creative in this venture. 

There isn’t much more I can say without spoilers but this is funny, serious and well to be honest short.  I hope Ashley and her friends make more appearances in the future as I loved this book.

Trail of Mountain Secrets

Archeologist Violet Hoyt’s mission is to recover the remains of the last of a murdered family, as she had already found the rest of the family.  To help with the search across the park her higher ups have brought in a cadaver K9 and his partner to help get Violet in the right area.  But when someone starts shooting at them and bad weather rolling in they need to hurry and safely find and collect the last remains. 

This is a fast paced, action packed book.  That is so good, I really do love these K9 stories.  The narrator was amazing, and the characters fit like a glove.  This is one not to be missed.

 

Christmas K9 Patrol

 

This is actually a 2 book in one book.  It combines Lynette Eason’s Deadly Christmas Trap and Lenora Worth’s a Dangerous Holiday Manhunt. 

Deadly Christmas Trap

Cheyenne Chen’s life is in danger some one has sent bounty hunters after her, but why, is it a case of mistaken identity? This sends Cheyenne, Officer Donadio and his K9 partner running.  However, it is interesting how being thrown into a dangerous situation to bring their whole back history to light while running for their lives and figuring out who was doing this.

This is the wonderful, clean, action packed, fast paced kind of story that will drag you into getting the rest of the series, oh and throw in a K9 and I am there.  I appreciate the authors learning all about K9’s it makes it easier to read.   This really is a wonderful audio and the narrator is amazing.

Dangerous Holiday Manhunt

Loreali Danvers and her K9 partner are tracking a convict when a sudden blizzard comes up and traps her in the big ranch house of Drake Corbin a cantankerous gentleman, and his sister.  Lorelai soon finds out why the convict came to this area and Corbin makes no secret of the fact if he gets the chance he will just kill him.

Another great K9 mystery.  This to is fast paced and action packed.  The characters are well conceived and mesh together really well.  The narrator is awesome and brings the story alive.  I can’t wait for more.

Lulu Sinagtala and the Battle for the Realms

 

Lulu, her sister and their friends are on a new quest one that might just save the universe from the god that wants to take it over with the god of destruction.  This is a race that will make Lulu make the hard decisions not just about how to get the three pieces of a ancient artifact that will allow Lulu to save the universe, but the hard family questions and how much she is willing to lose.

This another lore and one from the Philippine’s.  I love these stories of culture and mythology.  I am glad that these have become a favorite among children trying to find themselves in books.  This is a book that is about good vs evil but will evil finally triumph over good this one time?  This book is full of action and suspense, there is a lot of heart as well as pure determination.  The audio was magical and brought this story to life, the narrator was so good you might just forget you are not really there.  This was a great book and an awesome story.
